Entering his fourth season as the head varsity coach of the Seraph boys' program, Wolfgang's journey led him to St. Bonaventure through roles as an Assistant Varsity and Head Junior Varsity Coach at Santa Margarita High School, an institution from which he graduated in 2012.

At Cal Lutheran University, Wolfgang's collegiate playing career reached its pinnacle as he secured a place on the First Team All-SCIAC and played an instrumental role in reaching the conference championship in 2017.

After a year coaching as the Associate Head Coach at Newbury Park, Wolfgang returned to his high school alma mater, playing a pivotal role in guiding the team to a Division 1 CIF Championship. His motivation for returning to Santa Margarita was rooted in his affinity for the Catholic school environment.

Over his tenure with the Seraphs, Wolfgang has guided the team to the CIF-SS playoffs in his first three seasons, culminating in a CIF Finals appearance and a State Regional Final appearance in 2023. Notably, under his guidance, the team achieved remarkable milestones, including breaking the school records for regular season wins (26) and consecutive wins in a row (13). Furthermore, Wolfgang led the team to its first ever state playoff victory, marking a significant milestone for the program.
